Acai
Acai is a popular ingredient that has been used for a while now. It emerged onto the market with the introduction by Dr Perricone of the top 10 superfoods, and they have claimed that it can be effective in help you to do various things. Dr Perricone talked about helping you to get vitamin and antioxidant benefits, and ultimately speaking, the top 10 superfoods when combined have shown some weight loss benefits when properly combined. This being said, acai on its own is not so strong.
The Good
Now acai does have a number of powerful antioxidants and otherwise the right ingredient that can promote certain effects. This being said, it is rich in powerful antioxidants and vitamins.
The Bad
Acai should not be a top 10 superfood. It does not have as much power in any area as the common strawberry or blueberry. But they have hyped it up because it rots too fast to be exported in real form from the Amazon rainforests. With this in mind, the simple fact is that acai does not actually have any weight loss properties. Vitamins and antioxidants in any form do not promote weight loss. You have to have other components that you will not actually find with acai.
The Skinny
We would not recommend using acai. Too many companies abuse it, use “free trial offer” scams, and otherwise hype it up and have to trick you into buying their product. They use acai as their premiere ingredient for weight loss, when really it is nothing more than a complementary ingredient at best. With this being said, we would definitely suggest you stay away from products focusing too much on acai.
