Eat to Live Diet is pretty basic. It cuts you down to a vegetarian diet or one with 1 serving of fish and 1 egg per week if you feel that you cannot live without meat. You can take a wild guess at which one is faster. But the idea is that if you cut calories without actually counting calories by eating more fruits and vegetables, cutting out fat, and cutting out refined carbs, then you will automatically lose more weight.

Diet Requirements

It’s simple. You can eat as many vegetables as you want, you should eat at least 4 servings of fruits per day, you should have at least one cup of vegetarian tofu like tofu per day, and fats are limited, starches are completely eliminated whenever possible.

This may seem extreme to you, and frankly speaking, it is. But Eat to Live Diet provides plenty of recipes if you need the extra help along the way, and most people can remember those guidelines. For example, you could have a baked apple with raisin and cinnamon for breakfast and a green salad with balsamic vinegar, banana, raisin, and soy milk for lunch. Then you could have a dinner made up of baby greens, peppercorn dressing, broccoli and red pepper soup, 1 slice 7 grain bread, and corn on the cob with veggie based seasonings.

You could figure it out at a restaurant. But I would wait until you’re familiar with the guidelines to try taking on a restaurant.

How Long Does It Take?

It depends on how you were dieting before, how much you weigh, and other lifestyle factors. If you were already healthy before, you will not see as dramatic a difference within say the same week. But this is a lifestyle change. It’s not a temporary diet that can be forgotten about once you’ve reached your weight loss goals.

Who Should Use the Eat to Live Diet?

If you want a quick fix, Eat to Live Diet is not the diet for you. If you love meat that much, chances are you should not use the Eat to Live Diet. If you are not ready to really change your life and you are not ready to buckle down and try again if you mess up, you should not try the Eat to Live Diet. But if you are ready to change things, feel better, look better, and lose weight, and you are willing to do the work to get there, Eat to Live Diet may be the diet for you.
