FirmSlim Cellulite Mousse is a topical cream that claims to be able to combat cellulite by slimming and contouring the body.

Although no anti-cellulite cream can actually eliminate your cellulite, or even “slim” your body, there are definitely creams that are capable of firming the skin so that cellulite is less visible.

Rather than jumping on the FirmSlim bandwagon immediately, we decided to do a little research to see if FirmSlim’s bang is really worth its buck.

What’s The Hype About FirmSlim?

FirmSlim is manufactured by the British supply company Transformulas. Although the production of FirmSlim is currently discontinued, there are still second party vendors who sell it from the United Kingdom.

Among other things, FirmSlim claims that its thermogenically active formula will firm and smoothe the skin by eliminating toxins and acting as a diuretic.

Despite the fact that FirmSlim doesn’t display any of its ingredients, we can guess that they rely on a caffeine based formula. This is good news since most of the successful anti-cellulite creams come from the family of caffeine products.

Caffeine works by dehydrating your skin cells, thereby firming the skin and reducing the appearance of dimply cellulite.

Despite popular opinion, the appearance of cellulite is not because of a larger amount of fat; rather it is just due to a thinner skin. For this reason, women have a bigger problem with cellulite than men, and even skinny people can get cellulite too.

Does It Live Up To The Hype?

Unfortunately, caffeine, while sometimes able to firm the skin temporarily, can only work as a quick fix and can’t offer long term results. In fact, it usually only lasts until you take a drink or start walking around.

Even if FirmSlim can prove itself to be as effective as its competition, we wouldn’t expect it to last very long at all.

Even though FirmSlim isn’t going to be your get-out-of-cellulite-free card, we didn’t see any hints of ingredients that might cause you harm. However, because it is a topical agent, FirmSlim does run the risk of aggravating sensitive skin.
