Maker’s Diet

Created as a 40 day eating plan based on the habits of those in the bible, the Maker’s Diet is based on a lot of things. For example, you may remember having read in bibles made for children or in the original about how certain individuals chose to eat according to god’s plan even when everybody else around them wasn’t, and they were stronger, healthier, etc. Peer pressure right? Anyway, this diet is predicated on the idea that they have extracted and studied all that information to give you the best possible diet for your overall health and weight loss or weight maintenance.
The Good
The thing that we love about this product is that it’s not a pill, it’s just about what you eat. By eating organic, whole grain foods, you can best believe that you will lose weight. Another thing that we like about this product is that is promotes regular exercise. By taking weight loss and breaking it down into two essential things, eating healthy and exercising, the Maker’s Diet steers you in the right direction and doesn’t expose you to possible side effects like other weight loss supplements do.
The Bad
Have you read the bible any time in the past few weeks or so? We didn’t find any particularly specific guidelines as to diet. I mean obviously, they talk about not drinking too much red wine, eating more whole grains, etc. But they aren’t very specific to say the least. This being said, this diet was created by Jordan S Rubin and Garden of Life, 2 names that have been largely associated with scams and nothing but. The FTC has sued both multiple times for unsubstantiated claims, and they continue to do so, warning against any product associated with either name. Realistically, this is only a 40 day plan, meaning only for short term use and not long term changes. So you may lose weight with extreme methods and changes. But you won’t likely maintain it.
The Skinny
Of course changing your diet and exercising will help you lose weight. We aren’t saying that it won’t. But they don’t give you a lifestyle change. They give you a temporary diet! With the reputation of the creators among other things, we would obviously recommend against the use of this product.
