This service includes food, nutrition information and counseling so that all bases are covered on your road to weight loss.

Nutrisystem offers a women’s program, men’s program, women’s silver program, men’s silver program, women’s diabetic program, men’s diabetic program, and a vegetarian program for weight loss. This is a service that costs $326.36 a month but you can generally find discounts on the sight pertaining to the duration of the program you choose.

The Good

One of the worst aspects of weight loss is the limitation of food choices and Nutrisystem does their best to combat that problem by giving you over 100 food options. You can choose an already structured meal plan or customize your own based on what you think sounds good. None of these meals include any MSG. You are left to your own devices once the food is delivered, however, and Nutrisystem only guarantees success when the meals are taken exactly as suggested.

The Bad

Nutrisystem is quite an investment and can be a suspicious expenditure especially for those who have never sampled their products before. $326 a month for one person is a lot of money to spend on food. If you are someone who spends a large amount on eating out than this might be a viable option as the meal prep isn’t all that dissimilar from take out and you’ll probably have the extra money once you cut the fast and restaurant food out of your monthly budget.

The Skinny

If learning how to purchase and prepare healthy foods to aid in your weight loss goals seems too much of a stretch for you then Nutrisystem might be an option you can find success with. If you want to eat healthy and lose weight, which is basically what Nutrisystem offers, you can accomplish it for much less if you do the research and cooking yourself. Chances are that you should go this route anyway if you don’t want to be strapped to a $326 grocery bill forever. We do not recommend Nutrisystem except to those you honestly will not take the time and effort to learn about good nutrition.
