Resveratrol Revitalizing Cleanse is a colon cleanser that promises all the benefits that most other colon cleansers include like, a refreshing flush of your body’s impurities and any intestinal buildup, but it also claims to be able to “aid in weight loss, improve your energy and fight many diseases associated with aging.”

History

Resveratrol Revitalizing Cleanse draws upon the powers of resveratrol, surprisingly enough, a silbenoid that is produced naturally in certain plants when they are under attack by such pathogens as bacteria or fungi. After one study a few years ago showed resveratrol to be able to lower blood sugar in humans when administered in large amounts, the health industry went crazy trying to find other uses for this mysterious substance.

Among other things, resveratrol has been claimed to be able to erase the effects of aging, fight heart disease, and even cure cancer. Unfortunately, none of these effects have been shown to be accurate by credible, scientific research.

Ingredients

Aside from resveratrol, this product also contains the extract of the bark cascara sagrada. Although its name means sacred bark, cascara sagrada packs some pretty unholy side effects. For instance, it has been known to cause serious abdominal pains, gas, bloating and even diarrhea. For this reason, it was banned from all over the counter laxatives by the FDA. Cascara sagrada has even proven to be so harsh on your body that it has been labeled a potential carcinogen.

Our Opinion

Because Resveratrol Revitalizing Cleanse claims that its ingredients will do things that science hasn’t supported, and because it uses ingredients that have been shown by the US Food and Drug Administration to cause its users unnecessary pain, we don’t believe that Resveratrol Revitalizing Cleanse is worth the risk when compared to all the other safe and effective colon cleanses out there.
