Over the past few months, we’ve received a number of positive reviews, telling us about all of the benefits of something called Seaweed Natural Weight Loss Patches. Frankly, we were surprised, because we’ve never heard of a weight loss patch that actually worked before, which is why we decided to take a look. After all, had a company marketed a product based on African mango 10 or 20 years ago, most of us would have laughed and called it a scam. Now, we have clinical studies that prove that African mango is one of the strongest natural fat burners without any stimulants. There were a few basic things that we looked into.

The Cost

We will admit, especially if you live outside of the UK, the price can be prohibitive. It generally sells for about $64, but international shipping charges knock the price up by about $20. However, on the bright side, it’s easy to remember. Actually, you don’t really have to remember it, is supposedly time released to give you a steady stream of active ingredients throughout the day. All you do is put it on your arm or some other body part in the morning.

The Ingredients

We’ve seen diet pills and diet drinks based on the fucus seaweed we see here before. We don’t generally consider it to be the strongest ingredient we’ve ever seen. However, we can say that it has been through clinical studies that seem to be pretty positive, showing albeit mild but stimulant free thermogenic fat burning results.

The Patches

This is where we really get skeptical. There is nothing that proves that any weight loss patch can deliver even a small amount of active ingredients into the bloodstream, let alone throughout the day. In fact, the only thing that most patches seem to do is cause skin irritation. Then again, most patches don’t have any clinically proven weight loss ingredients and Seaweed Natural Weight Loss Patches does. However, we find that there is one more major thing to consider that sways us a bit in spite of some of the reviews we’ve received.

The FTC Lawsuit

Seaweed Natural Weight Loss Patches started out in the UK anyway, but US officials have prohibited makers from selling Seaweed Natural Weight Loss Patches as a weight loss supplement of any kind. Actually, they have prohibited the company as a whole of selling dietary supplements or weight loss supplements as of late 2005 due to what they consider to be false claims. We do leave room for the fact that the FTC does not consider any natural supplements to be “weight loss supplements” and they define products like Alli (which has been “clinically proven” to help you to lose 5-10% of your body weight in a year if you combine it with a no fat diet), and we have definitely considered the fact that there are probably many supplements and strong methods of promoting weight loss that have not yet been discovered. However, we can only base our review on what we know right now.

Our Conclusion

We have received quite a few reviews concerning Seaweed Natural Weight Loss Patches and how they work, both good and bad. We were actually surprised at how many good reviews we received considering the company history and the scientific studies. However, because of those reviews, we are willing concede that there is a possibility that there is something we are all missing that will eventually come to light.
