Slim Tea
Slim Tea is a weight loss supplement that has been engineered around the concept of oolong tea being an effective and popular weight loss agent. Oolong tea is actually from the same plant as the well-regarded green tea. The difference between green tea and oolong tea is the way the leaves are stored and handled after being plucked. The official Slim Tea website offers a bevy of endorsements from certain celebrity’s stamps of approval and customer testimonials.
The Good
Slim Tea purports to have the ability to burn fat, reduce stress and tiredness, boost the immune system, raise energy levels, curb your appetite, aid in digestion and lower blood pressure. This product (and all products containing oolong or green tea) derives a majority of its weight loss power from the high caffeine content contributed by the oolong long tea leaves. Caffeine has been studied and documented from every angle and has conclusively proven as a thermogenic agent that can effect fat burning and energizing responses from the body when used in 400mg or more.
The Bad
Caffeine can cause some rather unpleasant side effects when used in larger doses. If you are someone who experiences caffeine sensitivity then you suggest you avoid any of the caffeinated weight loss tea beverages or supplements that include green tea extract in their formulas. Even if you are unaware of any sensitivity you should be warned that a large of caffeine in the system at one time can lead to such adverse effects as the jitters, insomnia, anxiety and headache. Too much caffeine can also act as a diuretic so those of you with a proclivity for stomach issues may want to avoid this as well.
The Skinny
Slim Tea may be a serviceable aid in addition to an already established diet and exercise plan but it will not be able to give you any dramatic results on its own. If you are still interested in implementing oolong or green tea into your life we would suggest checking your local grocery store for an affordable version before buying a weight loss supplement tea. The ones at the grocery store are fundamentally the same and no marked up for their weight loss “abilities.” We do not recommend Slim Tea at this time.
