Tone deTox

Tone deTox is a colon cleanser that also promises to do such things as “flatten your stomach, reduce headaches and irritability,” and even help you “maintain your cholesterol levels.”

Although we are skeptical of any product that seems too good to be true, we thought we better research Tone deTox just in case it really is a diamond in the rough.

Pros

After looking at Tone deTox’s ingredient list we found some ingredients that we liked. For instance, Tone deTox includes the weight loss pair, Glucomannan and Green Tea.

Glucomannan works by absorbing water in the stomach, making you fuller from eating less food. And Green Tea helps stimulate a lagging metabolism so that you can burn more calories while your body is at rest.

By eating less food and burning more calories you should have everything you need to lose weight, however, Green Tea and Glucomannan work best when they play backup to a more powerful weight loss ingredient.

The only other ingredients that Tone deTox has that even hint of weight loss are Protease and Amylase. Tone deTox claims that Protease and Amylase work as protein catalysts to speed up the rate at which you digest food.

Although Tone deTox is unclear as to whether or not this is supposed to speed up your metabolism, the fact is that there have been no clinical studies done to reveal Protease and Amylase to have any sort of weight loss effects.

Cons

Not only does Tone deTox have ingredients that might not be powerful enough, but it also has ingredients that could be potentially harmful.

For example, the ingredient Senna can be found in Tone deTox as one of their main laxative agents. Senna is worrisome because it has now been banned by the FDA in all over the counter laxatives because it has been found to cause serious abdominal pains, bloating, and diarrhea.

Our Opinion

Even though Tone deTox appears to be another mediocre colon cleanser, we don’t think you should have to take the risk of giving your credit card information to a company that is willing to exaggerate their claims in order to get your business.
