Trimspa

You have probably heard of the well known product Trimspa most likely from the celebrity endorsements that are advertised on television and in print ads in magazines. Trimspa is a popular and much hyped weight loss supplement that is available without a prescription. Trimpsa states that is has effective appetite suppressing and fat-burning components in its formulation which includes popular ingredients such as hoodia gordonii, glucosamine, and green tea extract.

The Good

Green tea extract has been shown to have the ability to stimulate weight loss. It also has other health benefits. The large amount of caffeine that can be found in this extract has immense thermogenic properties and can boost energy as well as burn fat.

The Bad

Trimspa’s main ingredient is hoodia gordonii, which is hands down the most overly-hyped and sought after ingredient on the market today. There is literally zero evidence that hoodia can help accomplish even the most meager or weight loss goals. This component has been rushed into a lot of dietary supplements simply for its notoriety. Even setting the issue of the useless hoodia aside, Trimspa further fails to implement an adequate dose of green tea extract, thereby negating its inclusion. The ingredients that have been scientifically proven have only been shown to be successful in specific amounts. Trimspa does not utilize this information.

The Skinny

Don’t be taken in by celebrity endorsements. Celebrities get paid to promote certain products and not all celebrities have the integrity to refuse a million dollar deal if they think the product is sub par. Weight loss supplements are a product for their manufacturer’s to sell and as such are meant to make a profit. This is common knowledge and an accepted practice. Still, in Trimspa’s case, it is obvious that the consumer was considered only in terms of dollar signs. This product was not manufactured with the hope of profiting from benefiting the public. This product was developed with the intention of padding the wallets of all those involved. We do not recommend this product.
