Zerona Lipo Laser

Zerona Lipo Laser

Anyone who looks at the before and after pictures for associated with Zerona Lipo Laser wants to know what is that, how safe is that, how much do I have to pay, and WHERE do I get it. Before you jump the gun, just calm down for a minute and let’s look at what Zerona Lipo Laser is.

An Alternative to Liposuction

Lasers in general have been introduced as easier and less invasive alternatives to liposuction without the associated recovery time. It’s true that Zerona Lipo Laser requires virtually no recovery time, and it can be done on your lunch break. However, we don’t have the same understanding of Zerona Lipo Laser as we do the conventional laser, because it is the first of its kind: a cold laser.

Right off the bat, we can say that it is probably less likely to burn the skin, but isn’t the burning effect part of what burns fat?

How Does Zerona Lipo Laser Work?

Introduced in 2008, Zerona Lipo Laser “disrupts the adipose cell membrane causing a temporary ‘pore’ which releases the cellular content into the interstitial fluid surrounding the cells.” The concept of simply heating up fat to melt it down (which is how a regular laser works) sounds a lot simpler, and most people understand that.

The approach Zerona Lipo Laser sounds pretty technical, but a cold laser has no obvious benefits (like a hot laser), and there are no studies that we have seen that suggest that their explanation is actually true. The Zerona Lipo Laser website mentions clinical studies conducted at several major universities, but never cites them. To us, that means that the studies were either unpublished or might not exist.

Could Zerona Lipo Laser Work?

In theory, we’re still debating that one. Positive clinical studies would end our debate, but the customer reviews are too mixed to really say. There are some that are rather positive on the main website, but there are also quite a few that are extremely negative including some that say they gained weight on independent sites.

We’re not being overly skeptical or harsh on Zerona Lipo Laser. It’s new, and we’re always skeptical of new products that are not as tested as say liposuction or for that matter something as simple as green tea. The fact that Zerona Lipo Laser has no published clinical studies supporting its assertions.

Are There Any Side Effects?

Because Zerona Lipo Laser does not use heat, the drawbacks are not comparable to a regular laser. It is not likely to burn the skin, and unfortunately, makers are also unable to guarantee a certain number of inches that you will lose. Unfortunately, there are no long term studies that would nail down any long term side effects or long term weight loss maintenance.

How Much Will You Pay?

The average cost in the US for 6 sessions (which is the recommended for 2 weeks) is $3000. We suspect that you could probably get a cheaper price in Mexico or Cuba, but we’ve all heard about the risks of doing that. For the right plastic surgeon, we would expect to pay more than $3000, which should give you pause.
